Debra Nixon Jordan, President of the Prince George's County MD Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women is no stranger to the advocacy of civil rights and social justice movements. 

Debra a former adviser to the late Dr. Leon Sullivan's African-African American Summit. Debra retired from Michigan as lobbyist and the Director of the Center for Revitalization of Urban Education and served as Associate Executive Director of the Louisiana Association of Educators. Debra retired from the Maryland State Education Association as an organizational specialist coordinating leadership development, minority and women's' programs and NEA Convention logistics for MD.

Debra is a founding Board Member of the health advocacy organization USAction. Debra is a Life Member of the NAACP and serves on the board of T & T Tutor World. Debra is the recipient of the Michigan Giants Award and Shirley Chisholm Trailblazer Award, among others.
