SPECIAL FEATURE

CONGRATULATIONS to Patricia Morris!

Congratulations to our Coalition Sister and Founder and CEO of Hands of Hope, Patricia Morris! We are proud of you! Community Engagement Co-chair Patricia Morris was honored on Nov.12 with a front cover on the new magazine Vision and Purpose (V&P), and was the featured interviewee on their Facebook production, highlighting "Caregivers Month." Magazine owner and Assistant Editor, Karen McConnell-Jones noted, "The title was chosen because God has us all here for a purpose, and when we have a vision it is incumbent upon us to walk in our purpose to bring our vision to life." V&P plans to be a voice that shares the positive news of our Black communities, since that news is underrepresented. The Vision & Purpose can be purchased online for $20. Sisters Gail Hudson Nickerson and her husband Chris, and Chapter President Debra Nixon Jordan were present in the live audience. Hands of Hope is the award-winning support service to caregivers. Coalition Sister and member of the Prince George's County Chapter, Patricia Morris is on the State of Maryland Caregivers Commission and has been tapped many times to do training around the state on the topic. Programs like Hands of Hope, provide the respite care needed by caregivers, providing resources from home health equipment to consumer personal products. Hands of Hope also provide access to a robust counseling support network to help prevent and overcome depression.
