NOVEMBER 2023 IS "GIVING TUESDAY" MONTH. Give a gift to help us build our Health Equity Fund. Your generosity will support our mission to advocate on behalf of Black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment. We will utilize your gift in a number of important ways:
• Establish an online Diabetes Knowledge Center. This online center will provide culturally sensitive information for both adults and children on how to tackle the health concerns that lead to and management of diabetes.
• Host a series of virtual educational webinars, under the umbrella program name: “Battling Diabetes from the Cradle to the Grave.”
• Host Diabetes Educators' Training workshops to include youth-trainers.
• Develop a resource guide regarding preventing and caring for diabetes that is youth- and culturally-centered.
Our chapter spends countless hours supporting advocacy, legislation work, volunteerism and providing education on economic empowerment and health issues. We need support from you to help continue our efforts.
We are a 100% volunteer-membership organization that advocates for Black Women and Girls. Collectively, we promise to use 100% of your gift to fund the Health Equity Fund's program and initiatives. Ultimately our goal is to influence significant change in the health disparities paradigm in our county, and enable healthful living no matter the age!
