Description
Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a chronic condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). HIV weakens the immune system, making it more challenging for the body to fight infections and diseases. For more information, please visit http://www.mayoclinic.org (2024).
